The fever typhoid is definitely an infectious one.  Salmonella typhi is the bacterium which causes the fever.   • To those travelers where typhoid is common.

Inactivated vaccine for typhoid which is meant by shots

  • Should be avoided on children who are less than two years
  • One dose is enough to give protection but one thing should be kept in mind that it should be injected at least two weeks before the travel is going to take place so that the vaccine starts working.
  • Booster dose is required after every two year for all those people who are in huge danger with typhoid.
  • If a person has already got any infection after taking one dose then the person should immediately stop using it

Live vaccines for typhoid which is taken orally

  • It should be avoided by children less than six years of age
  • There are actually four doses which should be given at least two days apart and this is the done for protection. The last dose of all the doses should be taken one week before one is ready to travel
  • The booster dose is required after every five years for all who are at risk zone.
  • This vaccine should be prevented form taking orally within twenty four hours of any intake of anti-biotic.
  • Any person whose immunity system is very weak should avoid using this typhoid vaccine immediately.
